Chanting Monks Announces the release of Joe Martino's Ripperman in October, 2004.

June, 4th 2004 - In October 2004, Chanting Monks Studios will release its highly anticipated one-shot Ripperman, featuring flip covers by industry favorite Ben Templesmith and Horror/Sci-Fi artist Jeff Pittarelli.

Writer/Artist Joe Martino says "Ripperman is a character that I created in late 1987.  It seemed as though all you heard about was killers and rapists. Sadly, that's still all we hear about today. I constantly wonder "Where is God in all of this?  Why doesn't he do something?" Receiving no answer, I came up with one in the darkest reaches of my mind... ‘What if God and the Devil got together and created a killer of killers?’ That was all the incentive I needed.  The Ripperman was born!"

Ripperman will be printed in graphic novel format; will showcase the talents of Joe Martino, Peter Palmiotti, Rick Buckler Jr., Johnny Lowe, John Orlando, Steven Preston, Dash Martin, Peter J. Romeo, Naser Subashi, Jim Taylor, Jeff Austin, Jon Hook and Allen Geneta. 

Chanting Monks Press President Joe Monks cited the Fall release to coincide with Halloween as a plus for retailers. "The book is about a killer tracking killers, resurrection, Hell, bikers, all sorts of fun stuff. It's edgy but with a more mainstream feel than some of our hardcore horror titles. This one has mainstream appeal and putting it out around Halloween should help store owners showcase it to their customers who like Marvel, DC and Image but are open to trying independent titles, as well."

Ripperman will be available through select distributors including Diamond Comics and FM International, hitting store shelves in October

2004, at the suggested retail price of $5.95.
